Carnegie Shortlist (and Inkies!)

What a pleasure to find out that The Rest of Us Just Live Here is on the Carnegie Shortlist.  They’ve been so kind and generous to me, and I’m so thrilled Rest of Us is there!  If I win, I’d be the first to win a third medal, which would have been unthinkable when I started out.  All I wanted to do was get a book published!  And really, I’m from a small town where absolutely nobody famous comes from or anyone does anything like write books.  If I can get here from there, you really can, too, I mean it.

Double news is that I’m also on the Silver Inky longlist, which is the premier kid’s book premier book prize in Australia!  An amazing few days.  Check out all the shortlisted books, great places to find new reading…
