Oxford, The Story Museum

Double Carnegie Medal-winning author Patrick Ness introduces his newest novel, The Rest of Us Just Live Here, which asks what if you weren’t the Chosen One? What if all you want to do is graduate and go to prom before someone goes and blows up the high school. Again.

In conversation with Daniel Hahn (editor of The Oxford Companion to Children’s Literature), Patrick will discuss the inspirations, passions and experiences behind writing some of his acclaimed novels for YA readers, including A Monster Calls and the Chaos Walking trilogy.

The event starts at 18:30 and will be followed by a book signing. It will last about 2 hours. Suitable for ages 12+ and adults interested in YA literature.
